This Soft Landing programme is a service offered to EIC Accelerator beneficiaries who are not based in the Walloon Region. It provides comprehensive assistance and support to these companies as they seek to enter the European market through Belgium. The programme's main objective is to help these companies establish a strong presence in Wallonia by providing a dynamic environment and a wide range of services. These services encompass facilitating the creation of a legal structure, conducting essential market and intellectual property checks, and aiding companies in adapting their products and services to meet European standards and obtain necessary certifications. The programme also supports companies in accessing public authorities and investments while helping them implement good governance in line with Belgian/European regulations. Furthermore, our programme features intensive coaching provided by WSL's dedicated team of Business Coaches (BUCs), strategically located throughout Wallonia and Brussels in Belgium. These highly skilled coaches are engineering specialists with valuable entrepreneurial experience. They are here to offer personalised guidance and support, catering to locally specific aspects, including HR and administrative tasks (e.g., streamlining bank account opening, company registration, engaging with social secretariats, and more). In this mission, WSL will provide access to its extensive local and international network, which includes potential customers, and public and private investors. Additionally, thanks to its specific affiliation, WSL can support Start-up in dedicated international programmes such as Horizon Europe programmes, the EIC, the European Ddefence Fund or NATO innovation programme for dual-use technologies: DIANA. This latest programme offers extensive mentorship for defence and civil markets as well as access to worldwide first-class test centers, investors, and customers in dual-use technologies. Once established in Wallonia, the company can avail itself of numerous and extensive funding support opportunities offered by the Walloon, Belgian, and European administrations. Furthermore, the program ensures that companies benefit from ongoing supervision and guidance from the WSL team, as well as access to a community of startups, scaleups, and well-established companies.
