A long-term mentoring programme for startup founders on either individual or team level with monthly regular sessions and weekly catchups for progress tracking in between. The programme is based on the social exchange perspective in entrepreneurial mentoring, prioritising reciprocal value creation between mentors and founders. The programme initially spans six months and could be further extended if needed, and integrates structured mentorship, resource accessibility, and peer collaboration to maximise entrepreneurial success.
The key components of the Programme are:
1. Mentorship-Driven Learning - Experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts are assigned as mentors, fostering long-term mentor-mentee relationships based on trust and mutual benefit; and Monthly one-on-one or group mentoring sessions, weekly catchup calls/chats.
2. Social Capital Development: Targeted networking to enhance mentees' access to funding and strategic partnerships; and Facilitation of peer interactions, encouraging knowledge sharing and collective problem-solving.
3. Resource Access & Training: Tailored workshops on business modeling, financial planning, go-to-market and fundraising strategies; and Access to external advisors on specific issues such as legal and tax planning, intellectual property protection and the like. 4. Performance-Based Incentives: Alumni engagement programme, where successful graduates become future mentors, reinforcing the cycle of social exchange.
5. Long-Term Sustainability: Post-programme follow-ups at six-month intervals to track growth and offer continued support; and Online knowledge hub with case studies and recorded expert sessions for lifelong learning. By fostering trust-based mentor relationships and leveraging social capital, this programme ensures that both startups and mentors benefit, creating a sustainable and impactful entrepreneurial ecosystem.
