This service supports EIC companies in developing a targeted R&D Plan, aligned with local regulatory requirements for R&D expenditure recognition. Duration: typically 2–4 weeks. It is designed for early- to growth-stage companies planning to apply for R&D certification or seeking R&D-related funding or tax incentives in Portugal. The goal is to structure a forward-looking R&D Plan that meets legal and strategic criteria, and can be used in investor discussions, or public funding applications.
Phase 1 – Diagnostic and Strategic Alignment: In-house experts review the company’s R&D activities, technical roadmaps, and strategic objectives. They clarify which activities and costs qualify as R&D under national legislation.
Phase 2 – R&D Plan Drafting: Preparation of a structured, forward-looking R&D Plan that includes: Description of R&D activities and milestones, Justification of technological challenges, Breakdown of eligible expenses (e.g. staff, equipment, subcontracting), Timeline and budget aligned with company goals.
Phase 3 – Integration into Business Plan (optional): If required, the R&D Plan is embedded into the broader business planning framework, ensuring alignment with financial projections, hiring plans, and market strategy.
The main deliverable is a professionally written R&D Plan that complies with local requirements, supports R&D certification or funding applications, and strengthens strategic planning. Delivered through a combination of virtual workshops and documentation review by in-house experts.
The R&D Plan ranges between EUR 5,000 and EUR 15,000, and the Business Plan between EUR 15,000 and EUR 45,000, depending on the complexity and maturity of the company's plans. Invoiced 25% upon agreement signed, and 75% upon delivery and approval of the materials by the Client.
