Service description

This service supports EIC Transition and EIC Accelerator awardees in strengthening their fundraising strategy through the targeted identification of relevant investors and key opinion leaders, and through tailored preparation for investment engagement. The service is designed for innovative companies and projects seeking to accelerate market entry, scale up their technologies and secure follow-on funding.

The service starts with a fundraising scoping and readiness assessment, analysing the awardee's technology maturity, market positioning, value proposition and funding needs. Based on this assessment, experts map and identify strategically aligned investors, including venture capital funds, corporate investors, family offices and public–private funding actors, as well as influential opinion leaders who can play an active role in fundraising, credibility building and market access.

In parallel, awardees receive hands-on support to prepare for fundraising activities. This includes refinement of investment narratives, pitch decks and data rooms, guidance on financial projections and milestones, and coaching on investor communication and negotiation strategies. Where relevant, feedback is aligned with investor expectations in specific sectors and stages.

The final phase focuses on facilitated engagement, including curated introductions, pitching opportunities and structured interactions with selected investors and opinion leaders. Benefi ciaries are supported in tailoring their messaging to different audiences and maximising the impact of meetings. The service helps reduce fundraising risk, improves investor readiness and increases the likelihood of securing strategic investment to support technology scale-up and commercialisation.

Expected outcomes: Clear identification of a targeted pool of investors aligned with the benefi ciary’s sector, technology maturity and funding needs. Improved fundraising readiness; Access to curated investor meetings, pitching opportunities or warm introductions; Increased quality and relevance of fundraising interactions; Reduce the time and risk associated with investor outreach.
