This service facilitates targeted connections with a selection of the 10,000 Boardio advisors and board members across 110 countries, supporting international business development, market expansion, and company leadership capabilities. Organisations benefit from targeted matches based on sector expertise and regional know-how, increasing access to valuable networks and strategic guidance. The service operates through a structured search and selection process designed to identify business needs, attract qualified candidates, and enable client-driven interviews and final selection. Companies using this process can expect 5–20 relevant applicants per search. The matchmaking process comprises following steps:
1) 30-minute web call to discuss the business needs and detail the specific requirements for the advisor or board member search;
2) Preparation of an advisor or board member profile description as basis for the search;
3) Publication of the advisor profile summary through dedicated channels, reaching the network of potential candidates;
4) Provision of the list of applications for the client to select 4-8 candidates for a candidates shortlist; and
5) Organisation of an interview day in which the client can meet and assess the shortlisted advisors followed by a debriefing call with a Boardio expert to discuss the obtained impressions and potential next steps.
The client decides on future cooperation with selected candidates and initiates negotiations with the individuals. Only when the client starts to work with one or more of the assessed candidates, the matchmaking fee will be invoiced.
Clients pay only if a collaboration with one or more introduced candidates is initiated (“no cure no pay”), with special rates for EIC programme users (i.e., €3,510 for advisors, €5310 for board members). Steps 1-4 (needs assessment, search, shortlist, interviews) are free of charge, ensuring zero risk to innovation companies, while at the same time benefitting from relevant business insights during the interviews. Boardio guarantees valuable business insights for every interview process - if the chosen advisor does not deliver, Boardio restarts the matching at no extra cost. This process ensures measurable, impactful advisory engagement on a truly global scale.
If no suitable candidates should be identified, the only investment of the innovators would be the 30 minutes and a half day of search request detailing and mutual introductions with business insiders.
