Service description

The Investment Readiness Program prepares research-based innovators for successful fundraising by developing essential governance structures, financial documentation, and investor engagement capabilities. This comprehensive service transforms early-stage innovations into investment-ready ventures, equipping organisations with the frameworks, strategies, and networks necessary to secure capital from both public and private funding sources. This service is particularly relevant for Transition beneficiaries seeking to execute their commercial potential and go-to-market strategy while accessing financing for research-based innovations. It is equally applicable to Accelerator applicants and Seal of Excellence holders, strengthening business plans and investor readiness for high-potential research innovations.

The program consists of six sequential phases:

  1. Early-stage Corporate Governance Development – Establishment of foundational practices, structures, and policies ensuring effective management, accountability, and strategic oversight

    1. Virtual Data Room Preparation – Organisation of business materials and data aligned with investor expectations and due diligence requirements

    2. Access to Funding – Comprehensive guidance on public and private funding options matched to company maturity level

    3. Fundraising Strategy – Development of financing roadmaps and identification of appropriate investor targets and funding instruments

    4. Investor Pitch Development – Refinement of compelling investment narratives and presentation materials tailored to investor audiences

    5. Access to Investment Networks – Introduction to venture capital firms, business angels, and strategic partners relevant to the company's sector and growth stage

Organisations receive governance frameworks, investment-ready documentation packages, tailored funding strategies, and direct access to curated investor networks. Expert delivery combines in-house specialists in corporate governance and fundraising strategy with external practitioners from venture capital and investment communities, utilizing diagnostic assessments, workshops, networking events, and one-on-one coaching sessions customized to each beneficiary's specific maturity and financing objectives.
