Fundraising service
Fundraising & Business setup in Portugal
Provided by All The Way · Portugal
Service description
This service helps EIC companies access R&D-dedicated private investment funds in Portugal (SIFIDE Funds), which are managed by local venture capital firms and require R&D certification. Duration: typically 5–9 months. Target users include early-stage or growth-stage tech companies with R&D activities, seeking to establish a subsidiary in Portugal and raise local investment.
The goal is to secure private funding through R&D tax-incentivized mechanisms and ensure operational readiness in Portugal. The service is delivered through a mix of virtual sessions and documentation reviews.
Phase 1 – Investment Readiness Review: A structured assessment of investment materials (pitch deck, financial model, business plan) is conducted by in-house experts to identify gaps and align documentation with investor expectations. Additionally, we support in refining these materials to ensure they are fully prepared before engaging with investors, with particular emphasis on market strategy, competitive positioning, and financial projections.
Phase 2 – Fundraising Coordination: Tailored introductions to Portugal-based R&D funds via our curated investor network. Support includes outreach strategy, coordination of investor meetings, and assistance throughout negotiations until a commitment is achieved.
Phase 3 – Company Incorporation: Comprehensive support for setting up a Portuguese subsidiary, including legal registration, accounting framework, and bank account setup, ensuring compliance with national regulations.
Phase 4 – R&D Certification (Selo ID): Preparation of the full application dossier for R&D certification, including an R&D Activities Report, a strategic 9-month Hiring Plan, and an R&D Pitch. In-house experts serve as the primary interface with the Portuguese Innovation Agency (ANI), providing end-to-end guidance during the certification process.
