These systems enable EIC-funded companies and research institutions to develop, validate, and optimise adhesive coating and lamination processes at a laboratory or pilot scale before committing to full industrial investment. Our laboratory equipment covers the full spectrum of solvent-free hotmelt application technologies, including gravure roll coating, slot die systems, Flexo Coat, spray bar application, powder scatter, powder dot, paste and double dot, and flat-bed lamination. Each system is engineered to replicate industrial process conditions at reduced scale, ensuring that results obtained in the laboratory are directly transferable to production. The systems are designed with a modular architecture, allowing users to interchange application heads and process modules to test different coating techniques on the same base machine. This flexibility significantly reduces time-to-result and lowers the cost of process development iterations. Dotcoat Europe additionally offers in-house laboratory process testing services, where EIC portfolio companies can bring their own substrates and adhesive materials to our facility for feasibility trials, parameter optimisation, and sample production.
