Service description

This is a specialized advisory service that helps research-based innovators and early-stage entrepreneurs design a realistic, staged fundraising pathway that complements or follows Horizon Europe support. The service is delivered by IA’s in-house experts in finance, innovation management, and investor relations over approximately 3 to 6 months. It targets innovators from research groups preparing to spin off a company, as well as startups in sectors such as health, energy, climate, manufacturing, digital, deep tech, creative industries, and social innovation. The goal is to clarify capital needs and identify suitable funding instruments and present the client to potential investors and equity investment platforms. IA will guide the company through the process and prepare or review materials used for pitch presentations, fundraising events, crowdfunding equity platforms, etc. The service is organized in three phases: (1) funding needs and readiness assessment, (2) funding landscape and positioning, and (3) strategic roadmap and investor engagement toolkit. Activities include financial and business model review, estimation of capital requirements, mapping of private funding sources (including equity investors, corporate partners, equity crowdfunding platforms, and foundations), refinement of the value proposition for investors, and co-design of a phased fundraising roadmap with milestones and risk considerations. Expected outcomes include a structured funding strategy for 18–24 months, a prioritized list of target investors, and core materials, including an investor one-pager and key messages. Implementation relies on online workshops, bilateral mentoring sessions, and iterative feedback on documents, culminating in a validation meeting and subsequent recommendations for next steps.
