Resilience Mentoring for Innovative Companies
Early Warning Europe Network (EWEUN)
Service ID:
EP433S1Resilience Mentoring for Innovative Companies is an individualised mentoring service for EIC beneficiaries and Seal of Excellence holders facing financial, operational or organisational pressure. The service supports companies at a critical stage, where early screening, problem identification, and turnaround action can help preserve innovation, strengthen decision-making and prevent avoidable insolvency.
The service starts with a screening and diagnosis of the company’s situation, including the main challenges, viability, risks and available time for action. Based on this assessment, the company and mentor agree a practical action plan addressing the most urgent issues. Depending on the case, the mentoring may cover leadership decisions, business model adaptation, pricing and profitability, production costs, financing options, operational processes, intellectual property valuation and management, compliance and stakeholder dialogue. If needed, the service can also include facilitated dialogue or mediation with creditors, suppliers, partners or other key stakeholders.
The expected outcome is a clearer understanding of the company’s situation, prioritised actions for stabilisation and recovery, and strengthened capacity for the owner or management team to navigate a critical period. The service is delivered by experienced mentors from the Early Warning Europe Network and its national member organisations. Delivery can take place online, hybrid or on-site, depending on the needs of the company, the available mentor match and local delivery capacity.
The service is offered free of charge to eligible EIC beneficiaries and Seal of Excellence holders, subject to availability, eligibility of the case and match with relevant national member organisation capacity. No equity, success fee or other financial claim is required from the beneficiary.
The service is offered on a rolling basis and is subject to case eligibility, mentor availability and a suitable match with a national member organisation in the Early Warning Europe Network (meaning that the service does not cover the territories of Austria, France, Estonia, Portugal, the Czech Republic, or Slovakia). The service is intended for companies that are under financial, operational or organisational pressure. The scope, format, language and timeline of the mentoring support will be agreed individually with the beneficiary before implementation. The service does not include the execution of any management actions on behalf of the beneficiary company, the production of contractual documents, funding applications or similar.
