It is aimed at innovators developing proprietary technologies in IP-intensive sectors. The service is delivered through a flexible advisory framework that can be activated at different stages of technology and business development. Activities may include IP landscape analysis, freedom-to-operate screening, identification of potential risks, and strategic guidance on protection pathways and IP positioning over time. The service combines in-house innovation strategy expertise with specialised external IP and legal experts. The outcome is a clear and evolving IP and FTO strategy that reduces risk and supports informed commercial, partnership, and scaling decisions. Delivery is primarily online, complemented by expert review sessions.

Financial requirements

Indicative price range: €10,000 – €20,000

The service is offered on a case-by-case and negotiable basis, depending on the scope, duration, level of expert involvement, and specific needs of the EIC beneficiary. The service may be provided free of charge, at a reduced price, or at full price, depending on the agreed engagement model. No equity is required as a default condition. Any applicable costs and conditions are defined transparently with the beneficiary prior to service delivery.
