This service supports EIC beneficiaries in defining, validating, and refining intellectual property and freedom-to-operate strategies aligned with long-term commercial objectives. It is aimed at innovators developing proprietary technologies in IP-intensive sectors. The service is delivered through a flexible advisory framework that can be activated at different stages of technology and business development. Activities may include IP landscape analysis, freedom-to-operate screening, identification of potential risks, and strategic guidance on protection pathways and IP positioning over time. The service combines in-house innovation strategy expertise with specialised external IP and legal experts. The outcome is a clear and evolving IP and FTO strategy that reduces risk and supports informed commercial, partnership, and scaling decisions. Delivery is primarily online, complemented by expert review sessions.
