This offers a 60-130-hour service directed towards EIC beneficiaries, regardless of the sector these innovators operate in. It delivers a detailed analysis of the financial, strategic, and market value of both the technology and the company as a whole. The goal of this service is to provide companies with actionable insights into the real-world value of their company and the commercialisation potential of their technologies. These valuations will form the foundation for informed strategic decisions, assist in attracting follow-on funding, and strengthen the EIC beneficiary's position in negotiations with potential VC investors. For EIC beneficiaries, where the majority of value lies in unique know-how and technology, intellectual property (IP) is often the most significant asset. However, within this service, patents are evaluated alongside several other key components such as patent value (assessing legal strength, technical merit, economic potential, and market relevance), company history, team expertise, operational know-how (proprietary processes or methodologies that complement IP), client base and established relationships, sales and sales pipeline, integration and potential in the value chain, revenues and forecasts, and inherent risks/uncertainties. The service is delivered by in-house analysts and consultants. First, an initial workshop (3–4 hours) is held to understand the unique attributes of the company and technology. Then, an in-depth desk review and consultations with experts help flesh out the final valuation before it is vetted by and presented to the client.
