These valuations will form the foundation for informed strategic decisions, assist in attracting follow-on funding, and strengthen the EIC beneficiary's position in negotiations with potential VC investors. For EIC beneficiaries, where the majority of value lies in unique know-how and technology, intellectual property (IP) is often the most significant asset. However, within this service, patents are evaluated alongside several other key components such as patent value (assessing legal strength, technical merit, economic potential, and market relevance), company history, team expertise, operational know-how (proprietary processes or methodologies that complement IP), client base and established relationships, sales and sales pipeline, integration and potential in the value chain, revenues and forecasts, and inherent risks/uncertainties.
