Venture Building & Startup Creation Workshops by Exaptation
LGI Sustainable Innovation
Service ID:
EP398S3This acceleration programme supports EIC beneficiaries and Seal of Excellence holders in transforming deep-tech research and innovation results into venture-ready business opportunities. Delivered through Exaptation, LGI’s startup studio, the programme is directed towards EIC Pathfinder, Transition and Accelerator beneficiaries with technologies showing strong potential for startup creation, spin-off development or venture-based exploitation. It is particularly relevant for beneficiaries operating in energy, environment, and broader deep-tech sectors. The programme runs over six months and is implemented in a hybrid format. It is led by Exaptation and LGI’s in-house experts in venture building, entrepreneurship, business modelling, market strategy, innovation financing, and sustainability. External entrepreneurs, investors, legal experts and sector specialists may be involved where relevant.
The programme includes four phases. The first phase consists of expert and self-evaluation of technology maturity, venture potential, business viability, and market feasibility. The second phase takes beneficiaries through training and coaching sessions focused on entrepreneurship, customer discovery, value proposition, sustainability strategy, business modelling, and financing pathways. The third phase applies to the knowledge developed in the previous phases to structure the venture roadmap, business plan, go-to-market strategy, investment-readiness materials, and operational scaling priorities. The final phase includes networking, pitching preparation, and introductions to relevant ecosystem partners, industrial stakeholders, and investors. Expected outcomes include a venture opportunity assessment, business and sustainability roadmap, investor-readiness materials, venture development strategy and a structured action plan towards startup creation, incubation or acceleration. The programme is implemented through workshops, mentoring sessions, coaching activities, and ecosystem matchmaking in online and hybrid formats.
Each project being unique, LGI and Exaptation adapt the intervention model to the maturity and venture potential of the beneficiary. Services may be delivered through fixed packages, daily rates (€800–€1,200/day), success-based components or equity discussions where relevant. Typical short venture-building workshop packages range from €6,000 to €18,000 depending on scope and duration.
Selection may apply depending on technology maturity, market potential, team availability, and venture creation potential. The service provides venture-building support, entrepreneurial structuring and strategic recommendations. Any legal, financial or investment decisions requiring formal validation must be reviewed by qualified legal, financial or authorized representatives.
