Service description

The Life Cycle Assessment service conducts thorough analyses of environmental, economic, and social impacts of sustainable technologies and processes. The Life Cycle Analysis is structured in different steps: 1) Ambition: Stating clearly what the aims and objectives for the LCA study are, as well as its scope and main assumptions. 2) Data collection and understanding: Rigorous collection of technical, economic and social data, identification of inputs and outputs of the product system, modelling of the complete process (from cradle to grave). 3) Benchmarking: Definition of the benchmark in the product/process domain, quantification of the benchmark impacts. 4) Assessment: The main impact categories are selected, classified, grouped, and normalised in order to aggregate results to determine the impacts. 5) Interpretation and Improvements: The results are summarised, the alternatives are compared, and solutions to reduce the impacts are recommended. 6) Communication: Strategies to promote and communicate the main results are defined. The Life Cycle Costing service is based on the following steps: 1. Analysis of CAPEX and OPEX. 2. Identification of direct and indirect costs. 3. Profit and Loss projections. 4. Cash-flows planning. 5. Regional Assessment. 6. Identification and analysis of the key financial metrics. The Social LCA service is based on the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and on the identification of relevant stakeholders and social topics, Data collection, Comparison with sector benchmarks and the identification of solutions for improvement.

Financial requirements

Negotiable depending on the scope and size of the project (ranging from €15,000 up to €60,000).
