SmiLe–EIC Venture Growth Programme provides market-oriented business development support for Life Science innovators and entrepreneurs over a 2–4 year period. Tailored for startups in the product development phase, this service helps validate, develop, and grow business models, with the opportunity to access SmiLe’s state-of-the-art laboratories. The service can be delivered online or onsite at SmiLe’s premises at Medicon Village, Lund, Sweden. Key Offerings include, a) Business Development & Coaching: Custom access too expert guidance from coaches with 300+ years of combined Life Science industry experience. Support covers all aspects from science to market, including product development, intellectual property (IP), licencing and partnerships, pre-clinical and clinical verification, marketing, and more. b) Core Facilities: Custom access to 12 joint life science laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art instruments for diagnostics, drug development and rheology in the 300 sqm labs, as well as additional 1,700 sqm of private laboratory space for hire. c) Community: Become part of the SmiLe Community, which includes corporate partners, recent cohort members, and alumni. Benefit from an open and collaborative environment, participate in professional events, and receive support from SmiLe’s partner organizations. d) Capital: Gain access to extensive expertise in securing startup funding through grants and venture capital. A customised financial strategy is developed based on the business model, structuring key assets and milestones to support successful fundraising. When investment readiness is achieved, introductions to relevant investor networks and stakeholders are facilitated.
