International expansion to the US

An acceleration programme for EIC Accelerator startups with strong scaling potential. The service supports startups in preparing and successfully scaling their business to the US, the largest economy worldwide. The activities under this service can be implemented in three standalone offers or as a package: 1) Market Radar Plus: Industry experts will collaboratively evaluate (among other things) product-market fit, business model and regulatory hurdles and define initial steps for the beneficiaries’ US expansion in a half-day workshop. The workshops will be conducted online; 2) Market Discovery: Six-week cohort-based programme lead by a US-based team in which market trends and opportunities are discussed with the participating startups. Feedback on the individual products will be given by experts, who will work on startup-specific product-market-fits. Mentors will be assigned to all startups according to specific needs. The goal is to enable the startups to make an informed decision on whether to tackle the discussed market based on the market potential evaluation. Other included services: Introduction to innovation scene, business culture, networking opportunities with key stakeholders, readiness report from mentors. This offer is implemented online; 3) Market Access: Six to eight months long, tailor-made programme, in which a local team will guide an EIC beneficiary individually in defining an individual market access strategy. This includes the localization of the product, pricing, market specific business model development and branding. Further, the startups are introduced into the local ecosystem and potential clients / partners will be approached with the clear goal of acquiring the startup’s first US customer. Other included services: Competitive analysis, legal / regulatory assessment, understanding of corporate set up, hiring in target market and local grant opportunities. This offer is implemented in a hybrid mode.
