AccelBio is a non-profit Collaborative Laboratory based at Biocant Park (Cantanhede) dedicated to translating high-potential science into investable, execution-ready drug discovery programs that can deliver new therapies. Mission. Guide scientists to transform promising research into programs ready for investment and industrial execution, while reshaping the innovation ecosystem by speeding the path from breakthrough to market-ready solutions in drug discovery. What we do. We provide an end-to-end translational framework from target validation through preclinical proof-of-concept, integrating scientific, regulatory and business planning to maximize impact. Core activities include Target Product/Drug Profile definition;development planning with milestones and go/no-go criteria;market analysis and positioning;regulatory strategy and compliance;and business planning. Pillars & partnerships. Our strategy combines acceleration of drug discovery programs, an R&I agenda in enabling technologies, and training for the next generation of science-preneurs. We collaborate via strategic co-development, joint competitive funding, and an open call for shared-risk projects. In under three years we have grown international partnerships across Europe and the U.S. and advanced a portfolio of competitive projects and training initiatives. Together, we are a one-stop partner to move assets from concept to preclinical readiness—efficiently and to industry standards.
