i-TRIBOMAT provides advanced Data-Driven Services that digitalize and accelerate tribology R&D through secure cloud platforms and Europe’s first online tribology database. Our approach enables customers to access, organise, and reuse tribological knowledge efficiently. Our services focus on three core capabilities: Customer access to the TRIBOLOGY UNIVERSE™: the first online tribology database, integrating harmonised results from leading European research centres for benchmarking, material comparison, and data-driven decisions. Customer access to their own results: all test reports, raw data, metadata, and derived indicators are stored securely online, allowing customers to visualise, compare, filter, and analyse their results at any time. Customer-specific database creation: we build private, tailored databases that centralise materials, coatings, lubricants, test parameters, and wear mechanisms in a searchable and structured system. We can also ingest legacy company results, standardising and migrating historic datasets into the new platform. Additionally, we develop custom online user interfaces that allow customers to easily upload, structure, and validate new results. With secure hosting, controlled access, harmonised data structures, and configurable analytics, i-TRIBOMAT transforms tribological testing into a data-driven workflow. This empowers customers to reuse past results, avoid redundant tests, and accelerate material and product development.
The Data-Driven Services offered by i-TRIBOMAT are provided as paid services. Costs depend on the scope of the database setup, data migration volume, custom functionalities, and level of analytics or consultancy requested. Typical pricing ranges from €5,000 to €10,000 for a basic customer-specific database setup, with optional annual maintenance or hosting fees depending on the chosen configuration. Access to the TRIBOLOGY UNIVERSE™ and to customer-specific online databases is billed according to the selected service package.
The Data-Driven Services of i-TRIBOMAT are provided on a best-effort basis using secure systems and harmonised data structures. The accuracy of uploaded or supplied data remains the customer’s responsibility.
