CREO Innovate is a cohort-based innovation and venture growth programme of eight weeks, delivered once every quarter and suitable for EIC Pathfinder, EIC Transition and EIC Accelerator beneficiaries, as well as Seal of Excellence holders. The service is designed for research teams, spinouts, startups, SMEs and science-based innovators developing deep-tech solutions, particularly in health, life sciences, bio, AI, ClimateTech, and other EIC-prioritised innovation areas.
The goal of the programme is to guide cohorts of deep-tech innovators through a structured eight-week journey from technology validation to commercial readiness. Unlike one-to-one coaching, CREO Innovate leverages peer learning and collective problem-solving alongside expert input, helping beneficiaries benchmark their progress, identify application pathways, and develop concrete go-to-market, partnership, and investment readiness strategies in a collaborative environment.
This service complements the EIC Business Acceleration Services by providing cohort-based, sector-specific venture growth support not available within the current BAS catalogue. The service follows a four-stage approach: (1) needs assessment and innovation diagnostics to identify maturity gaps and application pathways;(2) expert-led workshops and practical clinics on market relevance, customer understanding, and venture strategy;(3) structured peer learning, group mentoring, and growth planning sessions;and (4) pitching, networking, and ecosystem engagement opportunities including curated connections to investors and strategic partners.
The service is delivered by in-house facilitators and selected expert mentors through online, and hybrid in-person formats. At the end of the programme, beneficiaries are expected to have a clearer pathway to market, stronger founder capability, sharper positioning and improved readiness for customers, partners and investors.
Offered at a reduced price. The EIC beneficiary rate for CREO Innovate is €850 per Startup for the full cohort programme, including workshops, structured 1:1 checkpoints, peer learning sessions, expert feedback, and ecosystem engagement support. For beneficiaries requiring additional tailored support beyond the cohort package, optional specialist mentoring can be provided at €180/hour or €1,100/day. No equity is required.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through the EIC Service Catalogue, with one CREO Innovate cohort offered per quarter. Actual application deadlines, selection dates, and programme start dates will be published on the service website and may vary by cohort. Participation is subject to cohort fit, available capacity, and confirmation of eligibility as an EIC beneficiary or Seal of Excellence holder. CREO reserves the right to adapt delivery format, timetable, and sector focus in line with cohort needs and expert availability.
