Service description

CREO Digital Product Prototyping Support is an individualised prototyping and proof-of-concept service of four to eight weeks suitable for EIC Pathfinder, EIC Transition and selected EIC Accelerator beneficiaries, as well as Seal of Excellence holders. The service is designed for research teams, spinouts, startups and SMEs that need expert support to translate a deep-tech or science-based innovation concept into a testable digital tool, prototype, module or early platform demonstration, particularly in health, life sciences, AI-enabled solutions, and digital ICT sectors prioritised by the EIC. The goal is to help beneficiaries move from concept to a more testable and user-oriented digital product pathway, without requiring an internal development team. This service complements the EIC Business Acceleration Services by providing specialised technical prototyping capacity not available within the current BAS catalogue. It is particularly relevant for teams developing digital learning solutions, health-tech platforms or early digital products linked to their wider deep-tech offering. The service begins with a discovery and needs assessment phase to define the use case, user needs, functional priorities and proof-of-concept objectives. Based on this, CREO designs a tailored support pathway that may include prototype scoping, user-flow design, insights and planning for product components, feedback-based iteration, and recommendations for next-stage deployment or refinement. The service is delivered by in-house digital development, project management and learning design specialists 1:1 online. At the end of the service, beneficiaries are expected to have a clearer digital product pathway, a more testable concept, and defined next steps for validation, refinement or pilot use.
