Service description

This individualised advisory service supports EIC beneficiaries in strengthening their financial and sustainability readiness while enhancing engagement with key actors across the financial and innovation ecosystem. Designed for deep-tech companies preparing for scale-up, industrial deployment and market expansion, the service helps beneficiaries develop or refine a sustainable and financially sound business model, with a focus on bankability, sustainable finance and long-term growth. The engagement starts with an assessment of the company's business model, financial profile, funding needs, ESG positioning and strategic objectives.

Based on this analysis, beneficiaries receive a non-binding evaluation of their financial resilience, sustainability maturity and readiness to engage with financial and investment stakeholders, considering their development stage, sector and capital requirements.

The advisory process identifies priority investments, improvement opportunities and strategic actions to strengthen the financial and sustainability foundations of the business. It also explores sustainable finance solutions aligned with the beneficiary's profile and objectives, including green loans, sustainability-linked loans, non-dilutive funding and hybrid financing instruments. Beneficiaries may receive tailored financial advice to support the structuring of investment plans aligned with sustainability expectations adopted by investors and financial institutions.

The service facilitates connections with relevant actors across the ecosystem, including banks, investors and sustainable finance organisations. The objective is to enhance resilience and competitiveness while improving access to financing opportunities and reinforcing the company's sustainability profile. The service is delivered by financial, innovation and sustainability experts, with specialised support provided where ESG or IP expertise is required.
