Startup Europe Regions Network (SERN)
The Startup Europe Regions Network (SERN) is a Brussels-based non-profit association dedicated to strengthening regional innovation ecosystems across Europe. SERN connects startups, SMEs, research organisations, public authorities, clusters, innovation agencies and business support organisations to accelerate innovation, foster collaboration and bridge European innovations with regional action.
With over 10 years of experience in EU-funded innovation initiatives, SERN has successfully participated in more than 20 Pan European projects. Its expertise spans innovation ecosystem development with special emphasis in strengthening regional innovation ecosystem helping policy implementation
SERN supports innovators throughout their growth journey by facilitating strategic partnerships, international ecosystem connections, business development opportunities, capacity building and access to European innovation networks. Through its broad network of regional innovation actors, SERN helps organisations expand internationally, strengthen governance, identify collaboration opportunities and accelerate market uptake.
As an EIC Partner, SERN aims to empower EIC beneficiaries by providing tailored ecosystem development, internationalisation and strategic advisory services that complement the European Innovation Council's Business Acceleration Services and contribute to the growth of Europe's deep-tech and innovation ecosystems.
Services from this partner are open to EIC beneficiaries at the stages listed on each service page. Where EIC ACCESS+ applies, co-funding covers 50% of the full amount.
