Service description

Leveraging its precision fermentation expertise, BBEPP can support the design of precision fermentation installations. This requires careful balancing of the necessary sterility and hygiene requirements with the investment cost. Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant brings together decades of experience in designing advanced, multi-purpose state-of-the-art fermentation units. BBEPP applies a result-driven approach combined with solid knowledge of scale-up and biotechnology. By fully understanding the process (through a previous service project, see first service offer), BBEPP can design a tailor-made installation so that the customer only builds and pays for what is needed. This service specifically targets EIC beneficiaries that reached the higher TRL scale of precision fermentation processes and are ready to think of own CAPEX investments. A project consists of multiple phases: 1) feasibility study, 2) basic engineering, 3) detailed engineering, 4) implementation, 5) commissioning and delivery. For each phase, BBEPP offers consulting services (PMC) and engineering services (EPC).
