Service description

This service helps EIC beneficiaries develop a structured financial strategy to support their long-term growth. The goal is to identify funding needs, explore financing options, and build a clear roadmap for investment readiness. The service is designed for deep tech startups and research teams that require guidance in planning their financial future and securing the right funding sources. The process begins with an assessment of financial needs, where startups analyse their current funding gaps, operational costs, and capital requirements for scaling. This is followed by an exploration of financing options, including venture capital, business angels, venture debt, and strategic partnerships, alongside non-dilutive funding such as grants and public funding opportunities. A customised fundraising roadmap is then developed, outlining short-term and long-term funding strategies, investment milestones, and financial sustainability planning. As part of this service, EIC beneficiaries receive guidance on building a financial model that includes sales projections, cost structures, and profit and loss forecasting, ensuring alignment with investor expectations. The final stage involves investment readiness preparation, where startups learn how to structure their pitch from a financial perspective, define their expected return on investment (ROI), and assess the impact of ownership dilution. At the end of the process, EIC beneficiaries will have a clear financial roadmap, a structured investment strategy, and a well-defined financial model to support their fundraising efforts. This service is delivered remotely through expert consultations, financial planning exercises, and tailored feedback, and can be adapted for both individual startups and groups of beneficiaries.
