Technology Transfer Advisory

Service description

A two-month Tech Transfer Advisory Service tailored for EIC beneficiaries in Life Sciences, Sustainability and Deep Tech sectors. This service provides specialised advisory in legal negotiations and intellectual property (IP) expertise to address the challenges of transferring technology and commercialising research outcomes. Based on the TRL of technology, one of the two following services will be provided: 1) Tech transfer advisory, including:· Licencing Agreement Expertise: Legal and Business experts assist in reviewing, and refining licensing agreements to ensure smooth and secure technology transfers from research organisations and early-stage companies to commercial entities; Strategic Legal Advice Negotiations Advice: Businesses receive guidance on key technology transfer issues, including intellectual property protection strategies and tech transfer pathways; Negotiation Support: Inveniam experts provide initial support during licensing and technology transfer negotiations, offering remote assistance to secure favourable terms. 2) IP support, including: IP Analytics and Landscape: a comprehensive analysis of patent trends in a selected technological field, including filing trends, main markets, academic and industrial key players, main claims etc.; IP Mentoring: Inveniam’s experts provide tailored sessions on various topics including different IP rights, patentability, IP management, and how to search and analyse patent information; Advanced IP Roadmap and Exploitation Strategy Development: through several meetings, our IP team will build a customised IP roadmap to maximise value, decrease risks and support strategic growth; Preliminary Freedom to Operate: our experts will conduct an FTO study suited for your technology’s stage of development for specific markets, ensuring that your innovation is developed on a secure foundation. The service's goal is to empower companies with the legal negotiation skills and IP strategy needed to navigate technology transfer challenges, safeguard intellectual property, and achieve commercial success. The expected outcome of the service is for participants to gain legal negotiation insights and skills to develop legally sound agreements, enhanced IP strategies, and the confidence to manage technology transfers effectively.
