The Odense Robotics StartUp Fund provides early-stage robotics and drone startups with founder-friendly funding through microinvestment loans. These loans follow a milestone-based distribution model and are proportional to the startup’s incubation period. For instance, a startup incubated for one year may receive approximately €50,000 in lump sum cash. The fund’s non-profit model ensures that startups only repay the loan when they are financially stable and capable. Repayment is tied to predefined economic success criteria, preventing undue financial pressure on early-stage companies. Additionally, founders are not personally liable, minimiSing financial risk. In cases of acquisition, an additional payment is made, which is reinvested into the fund to support new robotics startups. This approach allows startups to retain full ownership of their company and intellectual property while securing the funding necessary for growth. By strengthening business foundations and accelerating development, the fund helps startups become investment-ready and succeed in the robotics industry.
Funding is provided as a loan to be repaid with interest on founder friendly terms.
