Investor Readiness and Fundraising Support

Service description

The Investor Readiness and Fundraising Support service is an individualised programme that prepares EIC beneficiaries to raise private capital and connects them to relevant investors. The service runs for a minimum of six months per beneficiary. It is directed at EIC Accelerator, EIC Transition and (later stage) EIC Pathfinder beneficiaries and Seal of Excellence holders — typically founders and leadership teams preparing a pre-seed to Series B round — and is sector-agnostic, with particular strength in deep tech, life sciences, climate and digital technologies. The goal is to make each venture credibly investable and to open qualified conversations with suitable investors.

The service is delivered in five phases:

(1) investor-readiness diagnostic and gap assessment;
(2) development of investor materials, including pitch deck, financial model, executive summary and data room;
(3) fundraising strategy and mapping of target investors;
(4) coaching and rehearsal for investor meetings and due-diligence preparation; and
(5) facilitated introductions to UK and international venture capital funds, business angels and family offices, with post-introduction follow-through.

Activities include structured working sessions, document reviews, mock investor panels and curated introductions. The expected outcome is a complete investor pack, a qualified target-investor list and meetings with relevant investors, leaving beneficiaries able to run a professional fundraising process.

The service is delivered online, with optional in-person sessions in Oxford, by Oxentia's inhouse consultants, supported where relevant by outsourced mentors and sector experts drawn from a pool of more than 120 professionals. The service does not include support for obtaining funding from European programmes or instruments.

Financial requirements

Monthly retainer of €1,500 - 4,500 depending on scope and stage (minimum 6 months per engagement); optional success fee of 5-7% on private capital raised. Negotiable.
