Sting has been running extensive incubator and accelerator operations since 2002. In 2012, we launched the first accelerator programme in the Nordics and have since completed 21 accelerator programmes with 170 companies. We have experience supporting more than 500 startups, 70% of which are active. Our active companies had a turnover of Euro 600 million in 2023 and employed 3,100 people. In 2021, we were named the world's best incubator/accelerator. We evaluate about 400 new technology companies per year and accept about 30 of them annually. Sting’s focus is tech based startups and a significant share of the companies accepted to Sting’s programmes are spun out of academic research and are characterised as deeptech.
