The UT Southwestern Pediatric Cardiac MR Imaging Lab offers highly specialised segmentation of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) images. This includes detailed delineation of cardiac structures, myocardial tissue characteristics, and vascular anatomy using state-of-the-art imaging software and expert interpretation. The service is tailored to the specific imaging and clinical needs of each EIC beneficiary. The service is typically completed within 4–6 weeks, depending on case complexity and image volume. This service targets medical device developers, digital health startups, and translational cardiovascular research teams with cardiac applications. The goal is to provide precise, clinically-informed segmentation outputs that enable innovation in diagnostic tools, computational modeling, and AI-based imaging analytics. Phases of the service include: Case intake and scope definition; Image quality review and pre-processing; Expert-led segmentation and validation and Delivery of segmented datasets and consultation. The service will give custom pre-processing of CMR datasets with manual and semi-automated segmentation by in-house imaging specialists. There will be expert validation by pediatric cardiac radiologists. There is an optional virtual consultation with the imaging team for interpretation support. The expected outcome is delivery of high-fidelity, ready-to-use segmented cardiac MR datasets suitable for algorithm training, device development, or clinical validation studies. Engagement begins with a virtual onboarding meeting. All services are performed in-house at UT Southwestern. Segmented datasets and supporting documentation are securely delivered via encrypted channels. Virtual consultations are available throughout.
