PTCS Advogados offers a structured IP due diligence service directed to EIC Accelerator beneficiaries and Seal of Excellence holders operating in deep-tech sectors, including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, IoT, quantum technologies, and green energy. The service is designed for companies preparing for investment rounds, licensing negotiations, M&A transactions, or technology commercialisation. The service runs over a period of two to four weeks, depending on the complexity of the IP portfolio. It is delivered by senior IP lawyers with specialisation in technology law and international IP protection frameworks. The service is structured in three phases. The first phase consists of an inventory and mapping of the beneficiary's IP assets, covering patents, trademarks, software copyrights, trade secrets, and domain names, as well as identification of third-party IP risks and freedom-to-operate issues. The second phase involves a legal assessment of ownership, encumbrances, licensing arrangements, and regulatory compliance exposure under applicable EU frameworks, including the Cyber Resilience Act and AI Act where relevant. The third phase delivers a written IP due diligence report with risk ratings, identified gaps, and strategic recommendations. At the end of the service, beneficiaries will have a comprehensive and investor-ready assessment of their IP position, actionable mitigation measures, and a clear understanding of their competitive IP landscape. The service is delivered in English and implemented in a hybrid format.
Hourly fees between €250 and €500 + VAT (if applicable) and excluding expenses and costs. Fixed fees may be available depending on the scope of the work.
The individual aspects, scope, cost, and timelines will have to be defined on a case-by-case basis.
