SmiLe e-Dragon Academy is a 5-week digital e-learning programme, designed to prepare and empower Life Science companies to raise international venture capital from professional investors. The programme is developed by SmiLe Venture Hub and IESE Business School. The lean and fast-paced programme demystifies the VC industry processes by offering a deep dive into the challenges and behavioural nuances of venture capitalists. Led by Luca Venza, former Director of Tech Transfer and Acceleration at IESE Business School, eDragon Academy unveils the key aspects of how to succeed with raising venture capital and covers topics like communication strategy, legal structures, deal processes and terms, financial planning and investor relations. The programme consists of 15 modules, featuring main lectures, FAQ videos and tests, access to hands on support from experts in fundraising, as well as a toolbox with templates and calculations.
