A twelve-month acceleration programme targeting EIC Transition and Accelerator beneficiaries. Starburst has a mentor network of over a hundred people involved in all areas of startup development such as financial advice, legal support, strategic planning, etc. with a specific focus on aerospace and defence ecosystems. The service encompasses the following activities: 1) a dedicated person of contact inside Starburst’s team with bi-weekly meetings to track progress and quarterly steering committees to review programme goals, 2) office hours with Starburst leadership team to ask strategy-related questions (market, financial organisation, etc.) to the Starburst founders & board of directors, 3) exchange with industry veterans specialised in the EIC beneficiaries’ subject of interest, over the course of several months and introduction to mentors relevant on specific topics. EIC beneficiaries will be introduced to corporates at the right entry points with monthly new meet-ups and follow-ups with decision-makers at potential customer/partner organisations. This service also includes preparation for Seed & Series A fundraising with pitch session and data room to make targeted investor introductions. It also includes access to Starburst events for showcasing and networking with pitches, exhibit, and network with industry leaders. Additionally, EIC beneficiaries can also benefit from global media attention through a newsletter, ‘Starburst Weekly’, sent to an audience of more than 35,000 aerospace & defence professionals, as well as through social media channels and additional interviews. EIC beneficiaries can use Starburst offices while they are traveling with flexibility to move and work globally with a home base for meetings, calls, and focused work time. Starburst also provides a large knowledge in term of government resources and can help EIC beneficiaries navigate government programmes in France, Germany, Spain and beyond to find the right grant opportunities and get guidance on proposals, talk with key stakeholders and decision-makers about their acquisition processes. The mode of implementation for the service can be tailor-made for the EIC beneficiaries and implemented online, offline, or hybrid. The main target audiences are those with technologies in mid- to higher-development stages (TRL>3).
