Service description

This service helps R&D teams and innovative companies validate their business models, sharpen their market positioning, and strengthen their go-to-market strategies. It is tailored to the maturity level of each EIC beneficiary and is particularly relevant for photonics and quantum-based innovations developed by research organizations and technology-driven SMEs. Delivered over a period of 3 to 5 months, the program combines expert guidance to identify most promising applications, engage with key industry stakeholders and initiate strategic collaboration with them. Activities are carried out by a team of qualified experts in the field of photonics and quantum technologies, supported by a network of consultants and entrepreneurs with extensive expertise in market intelligence, Deep tech marketing, business growth and manufacturability. 

The service aims to align technology differentiation with a validated value proposition; build up a go-to market strategy guided by market traction and identify medium-term opportunities for sustainable growth. 

It includes: 

(1) Strategic positioning through market segmentation, customer needs analysis, differentiated value proposition development, and assessment of competing technologies, market players and their business model;

(2) market validation, by interviews with industrial stakeholders, potential customers & integrators, decision-makers across the value chain, 

(3) business model optimization, using market feedback to refine commercial / operational assumptions, and pricing; and 

(4) Assessment of manufacturing tools availability, metrology requirements, and industrial partners to leverage scale-up potential. 

Expected outcomes include a validated go-to-market strategy, a stronger competitive positioning and pricing policy, direct access to potential customers, identification of key partners in metrology and manufacturing, a shareholder structure aligned with the funding strategy.

Financial requirements

The fee is determined on a case-by-case basis, considering EIC minimum discount. Typical fees range between EUR 15-50k.
