Service description

For over 35 years, TBDC has helped international founders expand to North America through Canada, offering curated connections, targeted access to funders, and hands-on advisory services. Drawing on the deep expertise of our network in the startup’s sector, TBDC provides a structured, low-risk path to expansion through an in-depth research report (Scout Report), which helps Founders assess critical gaps in demand assessment, placement, competitor landscape, and every aspect of the go-to-market strategy. Following the study, Founders are invited to an intensive discovery week (Sprint Week) in Toronto, which matches them to relevant players in the North American ecosystem, potential customers and VCs. TBDC prioritises meaningful, outcome-driven introductions over guaranteeing a fixed number of meetings, quality over quantity, to maximise traction. TBDC matches Startups with a vetted community of fractional and executive resources to implement their refined market entry plan. Through its modular structure, TBDC’s Horizon Programme delivers the right mix of connections, expertise, and resources to help startups move faster, with less risk. Introductions are designed to lead to pilots, proofs, and revenue, not promises, so your effort maps directly to outcomes. Best for companies with €250,000+ ARR, but we prioritise high-quality founders. The programme is funded in part by the Government of Ontario and is equity-free to Founders. Only a cost-recovery based on the sophistication and needs of the Startups applies.
