Service description

The Carbon Footprint Navigator is a one-day workshop designed for EIC Accelerator beneficiaries, including startups and SMEs aiming to quantify, understand, and manage their environmental impact. This service targets businesses across all sectors, helping them measure their Corporate Carbon Footprint or Product Carbon Footprint using internationally accepted frameworks such as the GHG Protocol. Led by valantic’s in-house carbon accounting experts, the workshop walks participants through the process of identifying relevant emission categories (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), selecting appropriate emission factors, and calculating emissions. Startups will also learn the methodology behind emissions measurement and understand why managing their carbon footprint is crucial for regulatory compliance and investor relations. Following this initial workshop, startups can receive ongoing support for deeper analysis, reduction planning, and long-term decarbonization strategies tailored to their needs.
This service provides a foundation for meaningful climate action and aligns startups with global sustainability goals.
Deliverables:
• Comprehensive introduction to the GHG Protocol (Scopes 1, 2, and 3).
• Identification of relevant emission categories for the startup’s operations.
• Practical guidance on selecting emission factors and calculating footprints.
• Overview of carbon footprinting methodology and its business relevance.
• Strategic roadmap for managing and reducing emissions.
Implementation: Delivered in-person or online by valantic’s in-house carbon accounting advisors.
