Service description

A four‑ to six‑month Ethical Compliance programme for research and team leaders in research organisations. The programme helps organisations embed ethics across innovation processes and ensure alignment with EU laws, international agreements, and societal values, covering RRI, GDPR, AI Act, Medical Device Regulation, EU Green Deal, Nagoya Protocol, and bioethics frameworks. Interdisciplinary experts (ethics coaches, legal advisors, data‑protection mentors, and bioethics specialists) support teams to map ethical issues, monitor risks, and design benchmark frameworks for ongoing oversight.
The service is implemented in the following phases:
A) Phase 1: opens with a three‑hour hybrid workshop to set scope, surface cross‑disciplinary concerns and gather stakeholder input.
B) Phase 2: delivers desk-based mapping and monitoring, including detailed mapping of ethical issues (privacy, bias, dual-use, animal welfare, informed consent, and sustainability), as well as a regulatory gap analysis.
C) Phase 3: focuses on assessment and design, drafting implementable ethical guidelines, benchmark monitoring tools, and an adoption plan, validated in a final co‑design session with EIC beneficiaries. Targeted at research programmes, team leaders and innovation units pursuing responsible R&D, the service produces a concise ethical map, a benchmark framework for monitoring activities/outputs, and a tailored implementation roadmap. The service delivery is hybrid, expert‑led, iterative, and practice‑oriented, ensuring recommendations are legally sound, context‑sensitive and operationally deployable.
