School of Startups - Programmes and thematic workshops

UPTEC - ASSOCIAÇÃO DE TRANSFERÊNCIA DE TECNOLOGIA DA ASPRELA

Portugal

Service ID:

EP418S1
Service description

The School of Startups, powered by UPTEC, is a standalone service under the EIC Ecosystem Partnership Programme because its core offerings are structured as short-duration, expert-led workshops and collective activities. They aim to provide specialized training outside of long-term continuous journeys.

A primary pillar of this service is the Get Funded workshops. These sessions are structured approaches to guide EIC beneficiaries through every phase of the investment journey - from funding fundamentals to exit strategies. This directly addresses the EIC's goal of providing transfer of knowledge and concrete outcomes, such as refined business models and investment readiness.

Similarly, the Get Traction workshops provide targeted support for market entry and growth. By offering these initiatives as specific modules rather than immersive, multi-month incubation programs, they fulfil the EIC's definition of a standalone activity that adds value through specialized, niche-focused themes.

The School of Startups, with additionally knowledge sharing programs, ensures excellence and impact by connecting innovators with a community of experts and mentors to help them thrive. By maintaining a format of collective, time-bound training sessions with clear implementation goals, it perfectly aligns with the EIC typology for standalone services designed for researchers and entrepreneurs at specific innovation stages.
